Researcher - Flow visualization of oscillatory flow across parallel-plate structure. Project is funded by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka under the Short-term grant for RM20,000. 2019-2020.
Project Head – Study of turbulence characteristics of an oscillatory flow conditions in thermoacoustics using experimentally validated two-equation turbulence model. Project is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) for RM 146,200. 2015-2019.
Member – Integrated low carbon energy solutions for remote rural areas (ILCERRA). Project is led by University of Leeds under Dr. Valerie Dupont as principle investigator. EPSRC, under the Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) scheme funded £56,604 to University of Leeds for preliminary works related to fundamental groundworks of integrated low carbon energy solutions for remote rural areas. 2016 –2017.
Project Head – Feasibility study and the design of a cloth drier utilizing domestic waste heat for household application. Project was funded by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka under the short-term grant scheme for RM 20,000. 2008-2009.
Project Head – Development of a takraw ball projectile machine. Project was funded by Ministry of Higher Education for RM 200,000. 2007-2009.
Researcher – Surface treatment of ferrous alloys with carbon and boron. Project was funded by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka under the short-term grant scheme for RM 20,000. 2006-2007.
Our laboratory has been build with the capability to conduct majority of advanced thermal fluid experimentations and CFD works. It is furnished with cutting-edge sensor equipment and measurement instrumentations devices including Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), hot wire, piezoresistive pressure transducers, thermocouple, dataloggers, amplifier, several signal conditioning systems, accelerometer, blower, wind tunnel, heater and a cooler. It is also equipped with facilities for acoustic flow investigations. Access to licensed software related to engineering study, such as MATLAB, ANSYS CFD, SOLIDWORKS and CATIA is also available. The fabrication and machining facilities at the campus are also up to date, hence conducting research within the campus is quite easy.
